Delhi Government undertook restoration of many hidden heritage monuments within the national capital. Illuminating these monuments was part of the overall architectural restoration process.
The idea was to enthuse new life into these historical sites and create renewed interest in them for the tourists, especially during the 2010 Common Wealth Games.
These projects followed a very tight timeline but were completed well before the Games in October 2010. The beautiful restoration and fantastic lighting have created a splendid experience for tourists. In addition to showcasing architectural marvels of our country’s rich history, the lighting at these monuments is a visual treat. Lighting Design for the projects was carried out by consultants from Mandala Design Forum, India and by Lighting designer Mr.Sarvdeep Basur from Lucent Consultants, India.
LSI supplied complete lighting equipment for the projects and was proactively involved through the entire process.
